Removed Comment Actually fun fact in countries with proper healthcare they actually teach doctors that they should listen to the patient and treat them based on that. There is a lotnof negative stigma in both directions because there are shitty patients and also shitty doctors. Same with trans healthcare for example, my sister went through hell because doctors would ignore very important details while treating her. by AItoothbrush@lemmy.zip

Removed Comment Because there's no such thing as incurable. Either we can't make a cure with our present capabilities or the cure is something we haven't tried. By the way, exhaustion might be another symptom. Have you tried soaking your feet in some green tea with lemon and honey? by lath@lemmy.world

Removed Comment I think this is harmful. Calling everything an -ist like people are being purposely righteous is divisive and ultimately harms peoples ability to enjoy your company. Not everyone is against you, and the norm is to not be disabled. It's not a bad thing to strive for this normalcy in life, and is what many people want for themselves. Stop using a disability to claim victimhood. You're not a victim to anything. by kitnaht@lemmy.world

Removed Comment I took care and lived side to side with disabled people. They are people worthy of care, like any other. But as someone that was, at some point, close to give up on their own personal life in order to be available to take care of others, I don't want to ever be in the place of requiring others to somewhat live or just survive. *I don't want to be a burden to others and have them sacrifice their lives for my benefit.* So, for the logic of the posted text: shut up. by qyron@sopuli.xyz

Removed Comment Meh... My Neighbor just likes to smoke meth and yell at his dog, or anyone nearby. Hasn't had a job in the 6+ years I've lived here and drives an expensive truck. I wish he'd lose his benefits. He is definitely a freeloader. by PiousAgnostic@lemmy.world

Banned Varyk@sh.itjust.works from the community Chronic Illness@lemmy.world
reason: have not looked at the sidebar to understand why your comments were rulebreaking even after you were asked to, and then accused a moderator of ableism for removing your rulebreaking posts which were minimising the struggles of disabled people. Ban has therefore been changed from 14 days to permanent.

Removed Comment "Hey friend this is a support group for disabled people..." Good, then be comforted that the encouragement I am offering is correct, factual and based on experience, while the tweet is incorrect. "...unsourced opinions on disability." my comments are not opinions on disability, they are facts about travel options. most disabled people have those options. this tweet is defeatist and fundamentally incorrect. by Varyk@sh.itjust.works

Removed Comment gentle reminder that this tweet is incorrect. most disabled people can travel and many do travel; airlines and countries are very accommodating. countries will not deny your travel based on a disability. their Twitter heart is in the right twitter place, but this tweet is fundamentally incorrect. by Varyk@sh.itjust.works

reason: false; many disabled people cannot travel. And many countries discriminate or don’t allow disabled migrants.
