it’s so dumb… the show went so far past that point that chuds were openly complaining about Gundam going woke (HA!), I don’t see any reason to walk anything back and alienate the new audience. Just as well to get reminded that corporations are never our friends
I’m still baffled by weebs that (at least years/decades ago) apparently were horny for lesbian scenes/tension in their cartoons but suddenly drew a line with reactionary rage when some lesbians committed to being lesbians in their cartoons instead of perpetually holding out for a consumer-ego-insert theoretical male senpai to straight-curiously nyaaah at.
Weebs and nerds are either reactionaries or based, there is no in between
