The proposal would allow felony charges for people in possession of drugs such as fentanyl as well as for thefts under $950, for people who have two prior drug or theft convictions respectively. Both crimes currently can only be charged as misdemeanors, according to a statement from the California secretary of state’s office.

So cool to see a three strikes law being considered for non-violent offenses. Hoping the vote rs give a big f-u to this one.

Californians have a chance to make life harder for poor people or people who are down on their luck? Oh yes this will easily pass, Californians fucking hate the poor.

Prop 47 is cried about incessantly by CA cops and their bootlickers.

Who, unfortunately, basically control the narrative in CA. I expect this will pass by a wide margin.

They were able to see how fucked up the war on drugs was with regards to weed (and of course alcohol). And they want to make bad shit like addiction even worse by further fucking over people. Just more of the right-liberal alliance just putting more people behind bars for addiction and the crime of being poor. No changing of the material conditions that create both issues. Of course the rich and famous will not be impacted. They get to just go to cushy “rehab centres” and make donations to the pigs (which are always on call to remove the “untouchables” from sight).
