Reviews said this is long and Costner’s character is hardly in it, and that it sets up the next two movies but isn’t a great stand alone movie. I’m still excited to see it, I don’t need every movie to follow the same formula
It’s a movie that sets up another two movies and is kinda terrible on its own?
Sounds like nothing more than a marketing and business venture.
No art to be seen here folks, just products.
it sets up the next two movies
Uuuugh. The albatross around the neck of any modern aspirations. Nothing’s allowed to just be good, it has to be the foundation of a whole new goddamn industry.
How many movies are going to fail until they pay us more? At this point I’d rather pay a pirate then any apathetic celebrity actor.
The advertisement I saw for this film struck me as some white supremacist nonsense, so I won’t be seeing it. Costner carrying on about what great people settlers were, no thanks.

Racism in a semi-historical film that covers post Civil War America? Shocking
Seriously tho’, WTF are you expecting for a film set in that time period? If it pulled the racism it wouldn’t be accurate. It’s going to be chock-a-block with sexism too and for the same exact reason.
If you don’t want to see it that’s fine but intimating that the film has unnecessary racism in it is ludicrous.
You apparently struggle with reading comprehension. You wrote out that entire tirade against something I didn’t say. Again, the advertisement was KEVIN COSTNER, the actor not a character, going on about what great people settlers were. In fact, it was a rather terrible advertisement because all I could gather is that the movie is about settlers going west.
Maybe he is expecting racial interactions to be more like what is in Shakiest Gun in the West?
I believe it. Only needed to read the first 4 words of the headline before my brain went “yeah no thanks”
What was Kevin Costner’s last movie?
As an actor: Let Him Go (2020)
As a director: Open Range (2003)Time off for Yellowstone?
He’s done with Yellowstone and I believe even has litigation open against the show runner who is running the show into the ground. Last year Costner reached out to ask Sheridan about the script for S5 part 2 because he won’t have time for Yellowstone once Horizon stuff starts and Sheridan didn’t have anything ready so now they’re killing Costner’s character off and he opened litigation that he shouldn’t be because Sheridan is mismanaging the show.
Looks that way.
Thanks!
