    Makes me sad. Why would someone just through their reputation away? Makes no sense to me.

      His rep wasn’t even well earned. He essentially got it entirely from being the mayor in NYC during 9/11 and not saying something like “oh shit we surrender” like as a politician you really can’t fuck up a rally speech when you have the backing off the full 21st century us military and government behind you.

      Was he not just the benefactor of being in the right place at the right time and reacting in a good way?
      I’d say that his high point was mostly due to luck and a good playing of the cards dealt to him at the time. He has since revealed that he is a scummy dude.

      I’m not from New York so I could be greatly oversimplifying or misrepresenting things, mind you…
