We’ve been pumping CO2 and a bunch of thigns into the air for a long time

There isn’t really a thing as sustainable levels.

If we keep pumping CO2 into the air, thing will keep getting worse, just at a slower rate.

Even if we completely stopped CO2 today, it will still keep getting worse, as the CO2 we already added acts like a blanket, warming up the globe year by year

That would take at least 50+ years.

Millions would die, if we just stopped fossil fuels tomorrow

It should be fairly easy to stop this detention even in code.

You just need to set very strict “rules” the AI must follow when writing code.

Variable and method names etc. Must follow a specific formula.

Have a different AI write your docs etc.

If you’re just vibe coding everything, the watermark would work. So maybe a good thing. But it’ll be whack a mole, and if you’re careful I’m sure you can stop the detection

Unless you’re using AI to write books, I can’t imagine how you’d implement some secret watermark

Humans will continue to follow their nature. Shouting “You should have restraint” doesn’t solve anything.

It would be nice if we have restraint, but we don’t.

I’m all for stopping fossil fuels, and Degrowth, but realistically that isn’t happening in the next 50+ years.

This buys us time while we further our technology and solve the actual issue.

What do we know “Will work for sure” ?

To my knowledge that does not exist, as in my post, even if we became Net-Zero tomorrow, we’re still Fucked. Carbon capture isn’t viable.

Eventually we will all burn when the sun swallows the earth.

It’s not just us brining though, all the creatures are effected by global warming far worse than we are, if we need to implement desperate measures like this to save ourselves, and by extension others, so be it.

If you think this is a bad idea, please say why you think so, and what the alternatives are.

I think this idea has issues, but compared to “Just keep doing what we’re doing” it seems like a viable option.
At the very least, doing research into this seems like a no brainier.

It’s both, we seem incapable of stopping CO2 in at least the next 100 years.

even if we went to carbon Zero today, the earth will keep warming up for the next ~100 years, because the carbon we already put in the air keeps acting like a blanket, and the ice will keep melting.

We need to at least consider other options, because what we’re trying isn’t working and not working fast enough at all.

tl;dw China doesn’t really have a Social Credit System, but the US does.

Yea I’m completely stepping away from all subscriptions.

The only subscriptions I will pay for is for things like Email etc.

As the person offering the service needs to keep their servers running etc.

Yea it’s not free but it’s a once off, keep for ever price.
