Aslan…

Okay well the graphics look bloody beautiful and I appreciate her commitment to starting with the first book (cough cough, looking at you disney, and you BBC)

Heard there’s some growing distrust around this series for a few reasons like Aslan is apparently being voiced by a woman? Could be a lie, sounds like ragebait, but it is something which would annoy me, to be honest. If you know C.S Lewis lore you’ll get why.

How did you know when to try another type of medication?

Don’t change the instructions because something doesn’t make sense to you.

Not going to, I just thought it wouod be an interesting discussion since there’s so many different adhd meds and I like to learn about them or what other peoples’ treatments are. I guess the problem here is my psychiatry practice didn’t really give me any info about this stuff.

Thank you, man, very helpful!

As for perception of time (because I find it such an interesting thing) the only things that seem to affect mine is tiredness and novelty/variety. If i do the same routine for a few days I basically don’t experience those days. If I’m tired, things around me reach their destination before I expect them to.

Fucks sake, I already thought it was heartbreaking that he died so young. I saw him give interviews just a year ago or so, about the appropriate way to get disabled representation in TV and film. It feels wasteful that someone who had such good ideas, well articulated, and lived that himself - i.e a total expert on disability advocacy - is dead. By suicide.

It just feels like the people who “maybe, slightly” might be prone to suicide, but “are too successful, they’d never do that!” are always the ones going down that road. But that’s because fame adds further isolation, and someone like RJ Mitte was already isolated, by his disability. So it compounds; I’m reminded of some video i saw about “the equation of suicide” or “the logical flow of suicide.”

I also can’t stop thinking about how his costars from breaking bad might feel about this. There are some really sensitive and caring people in that crew. His death is genuinely going to affect so many people.

So. Rest in peace RJ Mitte

Edit: and my takeaway from that article, even if it’s just small details, is that he was more hard working than i thought/expected. Had more on his plate. Must have been a lot of pressure on him, because how many other famous people with cerebral palsy are there out there? They exist yes, but not usually in such high-calibre roles as his.

I hope he knew how to take a break.

I know someone’s going to say “just change banks whenever you feel like it, be fickle about it” - they’re ethical and used to have superior saving rates a long time ago. Banking with them has been convenient. I’m saying away from the hassle.

But more improtsntly I just want to understand if this is a legit banking problem or if the new company is screwing people over in this way. I literally saw the order of money go “+k” student loan" first thing that calendar-day, only to come back and see it in a different order next month

The right to bear feet and the right to bear arms

I got the animal balloon scene from Shrek instead

That sounds fun! It is below minimum wage where I live, but i had to check that just now. If not for other responsibilities or having a totally different career to build towards, yes I would do that.

Well said

Really depends what the job is.

There you go. I loved Iron Claw, didn’t really care for Waves because it was a misery fest and seemed to be excusing some toxic behaviour. Haven’t watched anything else by them but I like what they’re doing because films have become too tropey and conformist. The films I’ve liked most in my life were “indie” in some way.

My dad, I’m pretty sure, isn’t into this stuff. He’s very left wing and not into guns et cetera. But he told me he read that there would be food shortages soon and is stocking up. Crossover event??

Hah yeah. Not to mention teachers should never beat their students

Yes I guess so. So we should assume (at least in “1st world countries”) that lower pop. density means wealthier residents? Works for me, because in my country try the wealthiest people retreat to the countryside and coast, living in villages

They are wealthy in road space and parking space

TIL! What an interesting place

That’s a good shout! I’d love to hear peoples suggestions for specific places

Still valuable to me - it identifies money-flight, e.g are rich people in one town moving to a specific few suburbs instead of staying in the city centre?

We can do it on a per-neighbourhood basis and include things like villages
