I asked my vet what the weirdest animal name they’ve seen is but all they could remember is a cat named Pancakes (and my dog named Ducky).
But I did see a dog named Linda on the shelter’s website.

The article says he was remotely controlling a company laptop located in Arizona. A woman located in AZ was facilitating the NK workers, but she was recently charged with the fraud.

Same. They dislike them at first but they get bored with them quickly. I don’t mind them shredding toys as long as they don’t eat them.
I was teaching my niece how to drive recently. The one thing I emphasized is that you want to be predictable so other drivers know what to expect.
That means not going too fast or too slow, turning into the correct lane, using signals before changing lanes, etc.
I think she understood, so hopefully that helps. Changing the world one at a time. 8 billion more to go. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Wasn’t there a grocer in Europe that refused to carry Pepsi products bc the were doing things like this?
Edit: found one. I think there was another one earlier than this but still fuck Pepsi.

No worries, I know exactly what you mean. I feel it too.
There’s only so many times I can explain to family members that posting the phrase “I do not give Facebook permission to use my images” means nothing.
Hell, there’s a whole political party of people who believe everything they see on TV.

This is why I tell you I didn’t verify. I don’t want you to take it for fact and to check yourself if you’re interested.
I didn’t live in the same area as the man in the video so it didn’t affect me as the laws aren’t the same where I live.

Same but you and I aren’t the problem!

I saw a TikTok of a guy saying that eggs have a code on the carton stating what farm they were from. The guy went to a grocery store and nearly every carton had the same code, regardless of advertising free-range, or no hormones.
Note: I did not verify if this was true but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Indestructible or tough dog toys. My boy will have that in pieces, 15 minutes or less guaranteed

I get a lot of hate on Lemmy every time I post this, but I genuinely think American voters don’t like women.

Over in r/conservative, they all think his message was classless and wish he wouldn’t do shit like that, but they say his childishness is a known factor. They don’t like it but they don’t stop supporting him.

J’accuse! Jk. There’s a show on Netflix called Explained. Each episode is a mini documentary. There’s an episode from 2019 about “the next pandemic”.
They really nailed it.

I initially did but I saw you comment on another post clarifying. I opted to leave my comment up because the movie going experience is important to me and I wanted to share it with others. :)

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend or imply that it was cheesy. It’s not! I just don’t think it reaches the level to break into mainstream culture. I mean Sci-Fi has a higher bar because most audiences still see Science Fiction as too nerdy, which is really unfair bc some of the best stories are sci-fi.
Anime struggles with the same issue. People tell me they don’t like anime, but as soon as I make them watch Spirited Away, they love it.
Both anime and sci-fi have grown, but it’s not quite there. (Except for Star Wars? But I like The Expanse show better than those movies so what do I know)

I go to the theater every Sunday morning to the earliest showings of that day.
The theater chain in my town has a monthly subscription. $20/month and I can see 4 movies a week.
I don’t always love the theater itself, but the experience of seeing movies in theaters is very different than watching at home and I love that feeling.
I’m actively choosing to go to a new location in a dark room without distractions, to turn off my phone, to not speak, and to give the movie my full and complete attention. There’s something to that, which is hard for me to explain, but it changes my relationship to the movie.
Sometimes people are shitty, talking or texting, but I find that it doesn’t actually happen much. Perhaps I has something to do seeing early movies, rather than prime time. I don’t know.
Unless something happens to drastically alter my ability to enjoy the experience, I don’t foresee that I will ever stop going.

The show is fine, but books are fantastic.
The casting was really great, but overall the show had the feel of a cheaper SyFy channel show and not an HBO quality show.
I know SyFy doesn’t have the same budget as HBO. I know that science fiction isn’t cheap either.
For me personally, the low budget SyFy shows are fine, but for mainstream America,it’s not going to break through that way.
PS: if you haven’t read the books, I highly recommend it. It’s my favorite series.
There are some great chicken webcams in YouTube. One of them has a way to feed the chickens popcorn remotely for $1 and it’s awesome.
Honestly, that’s probably why they are consolidating manufacturing around less SKUs.
Everything sucks.
