35·4 months agoYeah, it’s hard to get too worried about specifically how the universe will collapse in 50 million years when I’m not sure our society will exist in 50 years and I’m not sure I will have a job in 5 months.

3·5 months agoInteresting article, but unless you know a lot about brain science, it’s not clear if or how these changes in brain chemistry translate into changes in medical conditions, capabilities, or behaviors
52·5 months agoThe Voyager missions are honestly one of humanity‘s greatest achievements. That they are still operating so long past their original design and that they were designed with such pure scientific curiosity in the first place.

2·5 months agoCloudflare, AWS, Google… who has dibs on the next outage?.. Our Internet is too dependent on a small list of companies. Some of which are laying people off rather than investing in the technology we depend on.
This is great advice. Just be careful not to heat it back up in a plastic container. Dump it into glass or ceramic before reheating.

2·5 months agoI wasn’t sure about this, but this article makes some great points. Star Trek Legacy would actually be a pretty kick ass show.
It’s a pretty normal model. You offer a free version to help make your product popular. People will use it at home and then at work they will gravitate to the thing they are familiar with. Small companies will start on the free version and eventually upgrade.
