I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from “YouShouldKnow” for saying I need more proof of Israeli’s genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I’m being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

101·4 days agoSomeone more knowledgeable in the matter - what’s up with Poland? Russia constantly threatens UK, they have launched drones into Baltics, together with Belarus they try to bring sleeper agents into Latvia and Lithuania, they even threaten France, but Poland? Feels like that is amongst the most silent “fronts” yet Poland acts like they’re next. I’d actually be worried about Lithuania or Latvia.
It’s funny that so many people are disappointed that a GTA game looks like a GTA game. The absurd hype is going to come back to bite R* in the ass

11·4 days agoBecause I disagreed with the claim “we have never found anything negative”. Literally anything can have negative consequences, even drinking too much water. I never denied it’s likely the safest one, along with stevia, but saying there is zero risk, zero negative findings, ectera is just factually, scientifically wrong.
Sorry, I tend to be pedantic.

3·4 days agoAre they really using Stalin in their logo? As a person from East, this gives PTSD. Fuck those guys and anyone who sees Stalin as a good guy. Just because you hate capitalism, does not mean that suddenly Stalin is a hero. I think Ukrainians (whom he tried to genocide, resulting in millions of deaths) would get even more hostile.

12·5 days agoAnd a word often. Your comment re-frames as if I said all are worse, without an argument. That is VERY different from my original point, which was essentially “I understand why governments wants us to intake less random artificial sweeteners along with sugar, so this does not feel very onion-y”

13·5 days agoSo this idea that “aspartame has, in a handful of studies (that go against the grain of the majority of studies) sometimes been shown to have negative effects, therefore artificial sweeteners are worse than sugar,” is a braindead take.
…?

17·5 days agoAre you just going to ignore the original argument that not once we have found something bad with aspartame, while there are many things we found? Sure, the data is incomplete, sometimes it’s in mix with something else, sometimes it’s high dose, sometimes it’s during pregnancy, but to claim it’s 100% consequence free under any circumstances and amounts is fucking idiotic and very unscientific.
EDIT: Fuck, I thought I’m on a science-related subreddit, not a circle jerk. Now everything makes sense.
