    I recently got Gaunts Ghosts: First and Only by Dan Abnett. I’m pretty familiar with WH:40K stuff, and I heard it was good so I started reading it and it’s very good. I was surprised about how fragile characters were. Like I’m familiar with WARHAMMER fantasy and WARHAMMER 40K, and I know that they’re supposed to be grimdark and sometimes grimderp, but it wa surprising that there were characters detailed in depth that suddenly died from a artillery shot, or bam are now chaos corrupted. The writing is great so if you want to get into WARHAMMER 40000, this is the place to do it.
