HSBC has already blocked staff from using WhatsApp on work phones—now the bank is banning texts, report says

HSBC is among the many banks that have recently faced scrutiny for employees' use of private messaging apps like WhatsApp to chat about business.

Which is exactly what the comment you’re replying to is saying. Dropping WhatsApp improves reporting, dropping texts alongside it is just suspicious.
