Don’t forget control, exploitation, and self-righteousness. It’s a lot easier to dehumanize people when you can look at them as dirty, poor, God-straying vermin while you yourself are a beacon of good Christian values. Therefore, it’s their own fault that they’re miserable. They could be just like you, but they reject the Lord’s light and are too lazy to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

It really helps keep things running smoothly for fucking the layman and enriching the billionaires and corporations while everybody else looks the other way.
