I can’t say for certain on venue pricing models, but a lot of colder areas don’t have AC units installed in buildings. (I think because they don’t believe in hot weather and haven’t realized that global warming is coming for them next.)
Idk if Pennsylvania is like that though, I’ve only ever been there in the winter and AC inspection isn’t my industry sadly, so I’m only familiar with the heaters and snow.

I’m in Michigan and have never booked a venue that didn’t have air con. I don’t know about Pennsylvania, but it’s not colder than here.
I really doubt that was the issue. I could be wrong, obviously.
