Yeah, the problem is his policies he has discussed raised taxes for families making less than $367,000 a year, and lower them for those above. So 95% of Americans wouldn’t like his plan, and if if he talks about cutting taxes, he has to keep the media quiet from calling him out on it.

The fact of the matter is that DNC policymaking has completely failed the people of the United States of America in favor of corporate interests, and has been doing so for the past 50 years. Every landmark decision or policy that has resulted in an inhumane amount of suffering and loss of quality of life in America was voted in with near unanimous Democratic support.
Today’s USA is the result of those cumulative policies, and the gap between the elites and the workers has become so wide it is irreconcilable with the concept of even pretending your candidate will make it better.
This is why Trump still has so much support. You can cite your little morsels the Dems have passed so the people put away your guillotines all day, but the fact of the matter is that 333 million Americans are slaving away to make 100 families able to sit on a literal mountain of gold every day.
And passing a cute little law to reduce credit card fees or forgive student loans for 1% of federal loan holders who have already been paying for 50 years and should have already been forgiven except due to regulatory capture is not doing it.
Oh, and the fact that they are genocide supporting Zionist war hawk terrorists makes it a little hard to swallow too.

Then there’s the other type of brainwashed idiots, the kind who even after all that has been said and done in the past eight years, insist like a scratched CD on the divide-and-conquer propaganda (strongly pushed by the right) that bOtH pArTiEs ArE tHe SaMe.
They insist on cherry-picked and distorted narratives, insist on a simplistic and stupid view, insist on some holy grail of perfection and purity test, waiting for some charismatic messiah figure with a magic political wand to fix things overnight.
In other words, they insist on some miracle godking figure that is the mirror image of what the orange shithead is to the maga crowd. And they will whip out a number of cherry-picked, out-of-context facts and figures to NOT lift a finger on Election Day. And these cherry-picked, out-of-context tidbits are enthusiastically and forcefully handed to them each day on a platter, pre-digested, by right-wing concern troll farms.
They are just as simple and stupid as the maga plague, and fancy themselves as smarter and savvier than everyone else.

His supporters aren’t looking for competence. They don’t want someone who understands complexity or nuance.
They’re looking for someone who will hurt the people they’ve been told to hate, and who advocates for the same kind of dumbfuck approaches to problems that they take. Ask a spoiled 8yo bully what you should do about any given issue, then run with that as policy.
That’s what fills them with joy. Simple, direct, doesn’t care what other people think, or what the results will be, he just says the thing they feel. My grandfather would have loved him.
What’s baffling and infuriating is that the dems have no fucking clue how to counter the approach. None whatsoever. They keep trying to play chess with the 8yo bully, he keeps hitting them in the face with the pieces, they cry because it’s an illegal move, and all the bully’s friends laugh and cheer him on.
It’s a little baffling that so many people operate at the level of 8 year old bullies, at least to me. Maybe I don’t spend enough time with terrible people.

I truly believe they do care. They just somehow, some way, don’t see the lunacy, immaturity, and blatant disregard for… pretty much everything even resembling decorum or political legitimacy. I live around some very maga people and their opinion of him is just so strange and opposite of virtually every single instance I see of the man. And I feel like I view things in a pretty non biased light. At first anyways.
I truly believe that the bulk of the support is just an incredible example of the power of media (and now social media) to just dominate one’s thoughts.
