Silly… Or heroic? It’s exactly why it works. You look at Piglet and know, definitely, there is no way that tiny little pig can carry that giant yellow bear. And yet. Heroes.
Y’know, maybe you’re right. I just watched RotK this evening, and I think that if the buildup were to be executed competently, the emotional payoff could be enough for me to suspend my disbelief enough for the “Piglet carrying Pooh” scene to “work”. I’d love to watch this.
