He punched an elderly election worker.

And why? After the worker told him he wasn’t allowed to wear his hat inside a polling place.

The Reason The election worker said that:

"Can you wear political clothing to vote in Texas?

No. Texas law prohibits “electioneers for and against any candidate, measure, or political party.” “Electioneering” is defined as including “the posting, use, or distribution of political signs or literature.” This applies to voters, poll workers and loiterers during the voting period within 100 feet of a polling place."

I’m so tired of these maga cowards with anger disorders who think they can just do whatever they want then blame everyone else for their insanity.

You don’t have to do that. Just charge him with a felony. Texas I’m sure has laws disenfranchising felons, and if they don’t then they’re losing to Florida.

I somehow think that he got away lightly. I am not being punitive but I can’t imagine it going this well for someone else. At least give him 24 hours in county jail.

He hasn’t been found guilty yet, they just booked him. He’s facing felony charges although who knows how that will all play out.

Sounds like the guy has a few bruises but is otherwise ok. Things are bad when I’m wondering if police will be hanging around voting areas this election to try to prevent this sort of thing. Are they even allowed?

Police aren’t exactly the calming influence they ^^never used to be.

Perhaps some biker gangs or wild hippos instead?
