Before the whole Reddit migration I was passively aware of the Fediverse, I thought I somewhat grasped the concept, and had created a Mastodon account, but never really used it.
But once the migration started, I decided to try out Kbin, and really liked it, and even started to use Mastodon more often.
I became aware of the Fediverse a few years ago…After not developing any traction initially…I left. However, I came back and am pouring more effort into decentralized social media. Kbin and Mastodon are amazing for me now, being able to connect to other instances due to federation, I run into so many interesting people!
