Typical cycle

• Look for a community about a topic that is not on LW (because being able to use a VPN is always nice)
• Community exists but mod is missing
• Post to community
• Community start’s getting traction
• Open call to the community for mods
• No one jumps in
• Admins don’t like unmoderated active communities, so they appoint me as mod
• Posts about offering mods positions, still nobody wants them
