I want to put all of Larry Ellison’s body into a wood chipper.
Put all of Larry into a room with Luigi
I just want to point out this is not a threat of violence because OP said “his body” not him. This statement presumes he’s already dead. How that were to happen, nobody knows.
not a threat of violence
And neither are these playing cards that no one should definitely order. I’m pretty sure he’s in there somewhere.
:)
Would be great to see the actual deck. I get what they are going for, but still.
I’ll let you know once I receive mine, fate willing :)
I was going to make a snarky quip like “guess he’s never actually used oracle”, but then realized he IS oracle.
Oracle is that way because he wants it that way
A post from the reddit thread on this that led me down a “dark” (double pun in this case) rabbit hole:
Larry Ellison is either independently coming up with, or stealing, an idea from an authoritarian freak named Curtis Yarvin. From an article about his ideology:
Each patchwork would be ruled by a “realm”: a corporation with absolute power. Citizens would be free to move, but every other realm would also be ruled by corporate governments with chilling impunity. For example, Yarvin says the tech overlords of the San Francisco realm could arbitrarily decide to cut off its citizens’ hands with no fear of legal consequences—because they’re a sovereign power, beholden to no federal government or laws.
In “Friscorp,” as Yarvin calls the San Francisco realm, an all-seeing Orwellian surveillance system would enforce public safety: “All residents, even temporary visitors, carry an ID card with RFID response. All are genotyped and iris-scanned. Public places and transportation systems track everyone. Security cameras are ubiquitous. Every car knows where it is, and who is sitting in it, and tells the authorities both.”
Yarvin is a thought leader who influences many of the most powerful people in the world (and also a couple elected politicians).
Larry Ellison basically floated the idea of an AI surveillance panopticon several months ago.
Ars Technica: Omnipresent AI cameras will ensure good behavior, says Larry Ellison
He believes the payoff will include better healthcare, thanks to treatments tailored to individuals…
Hey, that’s great and all… So, who’s going to pay for those treatments? Universal healthcare when?
Eugenicist wants a big eugenics database, got it.
Shit like this is why I’ll never take one of those 23&me tests. I’d love to know all that stuff. But I don’t want that data sold to assholes like this.
Ellison is a piece of shit. This is the same creep who said that putting AI surveillance everywhere will ensure that everyone will “behave.” That probably doesn’t apply to him on his private Hawaiian island, huh? He will not be missed, none of these soulless monsters will be.
Hell, even the police state won’t want to use Oracle.
Anonymous data right?
Right?
Go back to your island layer and fuck off.
