Nothing will ever get the dems to actually do anything. If Trump literally said “I’m gonna make Death Camps and put the democrats in them” - everybody in the dem machine would be excited. This is great! We’ll fundraise and campaign off of this like gangbusters!

Senator Klob goes up to the podium to a chorus of boos. “I know this is a contentious issue…” Much more booing. She’s impatient. “Settle down! Settle down!” The booing gets louder. “The path forward is a bipartisan—” The audience is now screaming and yelling. Somebody throws an empty disposable plastic water in the direction of the stage. The Senator’s body language shows she is livid and she quickly leaves the stage.
Shortly after - Senator Klob gives an exclusive mini-interview to MSNOW. “People yelled death threats at me. And somebody threw a projectile at me! Can you believe that? I am a sitting senator! Breaking the law has consequences! I have notified the FBI. This situation is untenable. We are a nation of laws. Besides that - what kind of country can we have without civility?”
i almost hope the trump admin goes too far and actually, officially cancels elections. instead of doing the smart thing and just rigging them and keeping a veneer of participation

Its an own goal for them to go after mail in ballots. They heavily favor old Republicans who have been voting by mail for decades. Going after in-person early voting would hurt Dems more.
This feels like more backlash to the 2020 election results.
makes me wonder of the lib panic over “there will be ICE at every polling station in the cities” will also be a thing then
it wouldn’t take much to do some old fashioned Brazil (Bolsanero) style overt disruption to keep people away from the physical polls
