No. There’s no direct eqiuvalent to separate a/the in Finnish. You might say ‘Hän haluaa soittaa kitaraa tässä bändissä (in this band)’, but a/the separation is made in context and that’s obviously missing here.

Also no. ‘Bändeissä’ would be plural form of ‘many bands’. ‘Bändiässä’ translates to ‘ace of (this) band’ :)

If I get that exercise again i will try a band, instead of the band and see if it accepts it.
