It’s why throughout history grains tend to end up as staple crops despite the complicated methods humans need to use to get them edible to us ‐ they still grow even in times of environmental disaster and grow in much, much larger amounts than insect assisted pollinated crops.
I doubt that they use wheat or any other natural product for the bread in the US.
