    Where does the Siberia talking point come from? Is it referencing something feudal monarchy Russia did? Or is it one of those things like “China Xinjiang” where they pull out whatever atrocity propaganda they are aware of to try to distract from western imperialist crimes and induce a sense of nihilist defeat in the reader that humanity is hopelessly evil no matter who we’re talking about.

      it’s a reference to tzarist russia doing its own manifest destiny and expanding their border all the way to vladivostok, to distract from the american manifest destiny (which was a far far more complete genocide of the indigenous).

        Ah ok, so sort of like if they started bringing up wrongdoings of Chinese emperors, in spite of China not having emperors anymore and acting nothing like them. Whereas with the US, it still acts much the same it always has, if not worse in some ways.

          yeah, it’s related to the idea that communism is a russian (or asiatic) thing so really it doesnt matter what they call it, it’s the same asiatic system
