You can always connect with people at college or workplace. I’d find it rare for someone to turn down a request to play minecraft. It’s the only game that I managed to get my friends playing
I should note, I’m old. Mid 40s and live in a small town, < 7k people. I’ve tried online but like I said, it usually turns into more pvp very quickly. So I just play on my local forever world. Someday maybe tho. Not like the game is going anywhere 🙂

Honestly I play more by myself and I enjoy it that way too as there’s nobody else that disturbs your creative vision of doing something.
