I knew Chuck Norris had done Cannon movies. I knew Louis Gossett Jr had done Cannon movies. Somehow I missed they had done a Cannon movie together, let alone a buddy action comedy. Chuck isn’t great at comic delivery, but he tries.
Also has Melody Anderson (Flash Gordon), Sonny Landham (Predator, 48 Hrs), John Rhys-Davies (in a further nod to Raiders), Ian Abercrombie (Army of Darkness), and Will Sampson (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest).
At one point, a desert scene reminded me of Ice Cold in Alex… and I find out J. Lee Thompson also directed that, and Guns of Navarone, and the original Cape Fear, too!
Not a great film, but enough fun if you give it a chance.
