The news that in February Arrow are going to release a Blu-Ray of this (IMHO) better-than-average-for-low-budget-action flick reminded me it is currently on free streaming at Fawesome (at least, it is for me in Mexico; apparently also on Roku, Plex, Pluto, Hoopla etc in US).
Also, I never knew it was part of Toei’s V-Cinema venture into the US VHS market, as I saw it in the cinema in the UK in 1994. I even got the cinema to give me the “life-size” promotional cardboard cutout once its run ended. (Long gone in a move.) Also, it had been so long since I last saw that I’d forgotten it also had Michael Nouri and Robert Forster.

Watched it and loved it. It’s so bad it’s good, but actually more good than bad!
It sort of succeeds despite itself.
They could have added like 45 more minutes and gone the whole “The Departed” route too. The writers had probably lost their train of thought though.
