Awesome thanks for commenting. The idea I’m trying to nail down is the absolute cheapest, most utilitarian, reasonably safe, and advanced technology. Absolutely no bells and whistles, no dashboard display, no infotainment. Most valuable cabin comforts like heat and air conditioning would be necessary. Can use wired (usb-c) or bluetooth smart phone connection to display vehicle diagnostics. I’m starting with the outer concept and I think this is very close to what I’m aiming for. It may take another iteration or two though. A phone wouldn’t be absolutely necessary to operate the vehicle, could run blind as long as transmitter is present.

      Something like this:

I think legally, you’d have to have some information dashboard for speed and some errors, depending on your country, but I love the idea too. Bare bones as legally possible with heat and ac sounds perfect to be honest.

Could do something like this, modular tablet that can be easily replaced, extremely cheap, and may not even need to be proprietary.

Yeah, that looks nice. I wonder if a bench seat would look nice. Actually having the ability to completely remove that passenger seat would have more utility.

The thing about the cab over design is the wheel sits near below the seats. This is an idea of what it would look like without the passenger seat.

Yeah, I like that. Could even have add-ons for that seat so if you needed aome kind of storage space, maybe a custom basket or similar could be offered.

Maybe even interchangeable seat/basket option, you could slide one out and insert the other easily.

Even some kind of analog instruments would be interesting. Have one for speed and another for any error codes. Would be different and fot the style pretty well.

I hear that, but I think it would add more complexity and proprietary nature to it. By using a tablet we can easily display whatever we need even then deepest diagnostics of the vehicle. With an analog speed dial all it would do is just display speed, and need to be proprietary due to the shape and fitting, which all increases costs and complexity.

That makes sense. I like the smaller screen compared to some of the huge displays some manufacturers have.

v2 attempt. Less edges for cheaper design, less pieces. More modern headlights. Single wiper above. Flat pane glass which should be cheaper.

      Rear view

Mud flaps added with dump bed
