As always, we ask that in order to participate in the weekly megathread, one self-identifies as some form of disabled, which is broadly defined in the community sidebar:
“Disability” is an umbrella term which encompasses physical disabilities, emotional/psychiatric disabilities, neurodivergence, intellectual/developmental disabilities, sensory disabilities, invisible disabilities, and more. You do not have to have an official diagnosis to consider yourself disabled.
Mask up, love one another, and stay alive for one more week.

It’s always awful here. I learnt to just accept whatever, but it was often closed when it was meant to be open and took about three weeks to access, because you have to get an appointment to get a referral and then an appointment for the actual food bank, and then they give barely any food at all. It’s impossible to live like that. I don’t know what I’d have done without mutual aid.
That sucks. It’s good that you found an alternative that works for you.
Sometimes it works, sometimes I don’t get a response. It’s hit and miss which can be quite stressful especially if I’m about to run out.
