My (aussie) boomer lib parents literally think intifada is a call to kill Jews.

Came up after a “SOURCE?!” request to which I responded “probably read it on electronic intifada.”

I gave up in frustration, then absolutely seethed for weeks when I realised the thing I’d referenced was actually published in fucking Haaretz. I really fumbled that one.

this was well before the bondi shooting.
