LG has unveiled its humanoid robot that can handle household chores. After teasing the CLOiD last week, the company has offered its first look at the AI-powered robot it claims can fold laundry, unload the dishwasher, serve food and help out with other tasks.
The CLOiD has a surprisingly cute “head unit” that’s equipped with a display, speakers, cameras and other sensors. “Collectively, these elements allow the robot to communicate with humans through spoken language and ‘facial expressions,’ learn the living environments and lifestyle patterns of its users and control connected home appliances based on its learnings,” LG says in its press release.
I’d like to see how it folds a fitted sheet.

Surprisingly easy. Takes two people to do it well, or a flat surface like the bed. Lay it top down (part that touches the bed, up) and fold it by its corners. It won’t be perfect but it’ll be good enough.

Took like 2 tries to get it down, but now I have perfectly folded fitted sheets every time. Only takes 1 person and I’ve been doing it this way for over a decade I’d wager.
Finally a useful robot but i just need it to fold clothes not “learn the living environments and lifestyle patterns of its users and control connected home appliances based on its learnings,”. Why would i want that.
Ai fuckwits are already pushing their agenda and collecting your data and now they want access to a live camera feed around your house. Everything it sees will be stolen and used to train and sell you more shit. The idiots buying this slop aren’t going to read the terms of service. How long till LG has another data breach and leaks even more info about you than ever before.
