      It’s all about what you’re extreme about. I’m extreme about the Qur’an being my axiomatic source of guidance. Idk what these “hijab or you go to hell” folk are extreme about besides perhaps their misogyny. 🤷

        you can be extreme about things without being an extremist

        extremists are uncompromising

        centrists have no backbone

        both are a problem, but one leaves no path forward when people disagree

          Good thing that Surah 109 (the one that ends in “to you your system/religion and to me mine”) clearly states the way forward when it comes to dealing with those who don’t want to submit to God but aren’t being overly problematic! See, I can remain a Qur’anic extremist and Islamic supremacist, because even the limits are codified therein. 👍

          Perhaps “extreme” is not the right word though, I like your “uncompromising”, that one certainly fits.
