I’m sure adequate resources are being allocated to turning off the Torment Nexus 
“including through a petition with more than 1,000 signatures.” if I got 1000 people to sign a petition to stop a condo being built, would the city give a shit? (of course not). That’s literally no one. The population density of Toronto averages at nearly 4.5k per square kilometre. This is downtown, so it’s really dense. The petition isn’t even a majority of people on the same fucking block.
And the talk about permanent housing is lies, obviously. The waitlist for social housing is like 100k people
They’re scared of the “danger” of homeless people, so they’d rather those homeless people…be on the street and far more desperate?
Though I imagine anyone scared of the homeless probably just wants to get them all sent to prison for the crime of being poor.
Ironic. House them but in the most expensive way possible so nepo baby losers can feel better about themselves for being rich.
It is the city where a bunch residents were against building a shelter on a parking lot because it was “the heart of the community”
This reminds me of the video of the homeless trans person assaulted by the cops here in the states at a warming shelter. It broke my heart because the person kept saying “I’ve got nowhere to go, I’ve got nothing” while the cops assaulted them.
