Ice-cream is not anachronistic in your DnD games, it was invented over 2000 years ago in Rome.

Reminds me of two sessions ago when my druid learned what a donut was for the first time and commended it for “being extremely calorie dense”

My players did this last session. I’m home brewing, and I’ve given them all bits of the plot individually to this point, so they rented a room and hashed out everything they knew themselves so that they could better understand the world. I got a little choked up. I had combat and everything planned, but I’ll take some good RP any day of the week.

My last session the party spent 3 out of 4 hours of the session sitting down to discuss their various issues that accumullated over the course of the campaign. It was nice, I had very little to do and enjoyed their roleplay.

I once spent an entire Starfinder session sitting in a bar and ordering different drinks with the rest of the party. We still joke about it.
