This is despite clear evidence against pro-imperialists, including Noam Chomsky, champion of the faux-left. I’d say it minimizes the real crimes we know of by focusing on percieved wrongdoing by those not on the lists. I wouldn’t personally call it apologia, but it can run the risk of undermining them.
