    Fucked up. Sometimes it’s hard to understand who these peers in juries are.

    Don’t censor words when talking about rape on this platform. Those who wish to avoid seeing this content will set up filters to avoid it, and by messing with the word you are exposing them to this content rather than protecting them from it. :)

          Why don’t you go act like a cop somewhere else? Maybe instead of policing people’s Lemmy behavior you should, idk, do something useful with your time?

    A good example of how “the only good cop is a dead cop” is often descriptive rather than prescriptive; they tried to be a good cop, and would you look at that, now they’re dead

    That headline definitely sounds awful, but considering the specific liability issue in a civil case is a really hard thing for a jury to do. This is why appeals exist.
