Currently in therapy working through how non-explicit sarcasm and genuine anger towards such a person doesn’t produce a clear signal. It means I remain less than understood, at best I lash out against a symptom & not the system, and remain upset about the lack of global ledger. She’s not doing this to piss me off; on the contrary she’s in an atomized society that makes it so even if she were looking me in the eyes she wouldn’t be able to see me. While it doesn’t excuse the wrongdoer, it’s a reminder of my locus of control. Short of a revolutionary tribunal or an opportunity to agitate onlookers there’s objectively little use in engaging with such a person. It’s a tragedy, not a moral failing to be unable to perceive me. We’ll see if the mechanistic extraction of a chance to reason through my own internal world from people I perceive as having consented into an asymmetric, exploitative conversation remains meta.
In closing I think America bad and destabilizing even in the face of bad things that happen downstream of it. I don’t know the particular history of Iran, but it would be, at best in my mind, secondary to their current actions fighting back against the most destabilizing imperialist force that engages in genocide and kills millions in the region. That recent history and current events of genocide and bloodshed, as well as my proximity to these cultures as opposed to Iran is what makes America and Israel relevant in my mind, even if the topic is the wrongdoings of Iran.

Don’t suppose you have any more protips regarding my mother…
I edited it with a few more thoughts. But I’m afraid this development is hot off the presses and theoretical for me at time of writing.
Also got recommend the Myth of Sisyphus by Camus which is… available wherever you find books
Appreciate your insights thank you. :)
also lol @ Sisyphus suggestion. Indeed. Also something about Sisyphus pushing a Grey Rock but I’m too tired to make it slick.
