Not metal, but a few christian rock bands somehow made it to the radio in the late 90s, like staind (ugh) and creed. There was a numetal one “hit” wonder called P.O.D. as well.
I remember creed having a few songs that sounded ok, but nothing from any of the others was worth much.
Yeah I just checked their page and there were a couple on there than I remember as not so bad. Maybe I was thinking of something else. That staind song got really popular but I always thought it was dogshit
Can’t really make a useful comparison of numetal to rock though
Recommendations: Demon Hunter, Disciple, Red, For Honor, Fit For a King, Thousand Foot Krutch.
Stryper. Maybe more of a hair band than a metal band; but they had a little success back in the day. Couldn’t even tell ya another Christian band.

POD had a bunch of great songs back in the day. Better than creed any day. Also, how has nobody mentioned skillet

Staind is really more post hardcore if I remember right. Never got that into them. Project86 was similar and way better
Demon Hunter has some good shit - seconded.
Tfk is nowhere near metal
Sorry about that. The band was in mind.
