Hello everyone. I Am involved in organising my Citys queer pride parade, and the Afterparty in our students club. For this quite special occasion we thought that it might be a cool idea to offer some themed cocktails on the party. The problem is, I have no Idea what might be fitting and I have never mixed a single cocktail in my life. Thats why I thought, that I might just ask you, if any of you have some ideas for some cocktails (alcoholic or non alcoholic), that might fit the theme of a queer pride parade, that are easy to mix.
There is a cocktail called taste the rainbow. If you prepare the three layers beforehand in larger quantities you’d just have to pour them in
That one is great (I just bought the stuff to try it out), but I will definitely tweak the composition a bit, because if I follow the recipe, it is quite strong (even without the vodka)
Heads up, lowering ABV of a layer will change its density. Opendrinks isn’t loading for me right now, but removing the vodka may result in the layers being less clean.
Already noticed that.
Be sure to tell everyone you used a mix of top and bottom shelf liquors
I dont think that that much people who would be interested in this are going to be present in our students club.
Also, what does that statement even mean?
It’s meant to make people laugh as a play on words. Top shelf liquor = quality, expensive. Vis-versa for bottom. Whereas in LGBT spaces top & bottom is slang for more dominant or submissive roles in bed.
If you don’t think it’s funny, don’t say it. I may be too old to be joking with students.
I did not get that joke at all (even tho it is a pretty obvious joke).
Lol ich seh jetz erst dass du’s bist xD Viel Spaß auf der Pady!
Danke, das wird glaube ne richtig geile Party.
This isn’t helpful but I’d put up signs like
~ fruity ~yummy cock -tails!homophone freeCocksucking cowboys are easy and more of a cocktail shot.
Could you give the recipe for those unwilling to commit that phrase to their search history?
1oz: butterscotch schnapps
1oz: Irish cream
Thanks, I hate it.
But that was according to expectations.
So thanks!
A fruity pink drink seems in order, though I think you probably can just focus on taste and not worry so much about theme, get some rainbow paper cups and put delicious drinks in them.
It’s not too hard to layer jello shots, or do them individually in different colors and arrange them.
The best non alcoholic drink I know is the Friend Zone but it’s fussy. There is a stickied comment in this community and the non-alcoholic drink archive on Imbibe is great.
