    Having traveled for work for a decade and also enjoying driving around the country, I’ve visited more states than I haven’t visited and people are essentially welcoming everywhere - it just looks different in Philly than in Souix Falls, SD.

    That these morons think otherwise just exposes their own ignorance and bigotry.

      On one hand, you are generally correct. Even in states where racism is historically worst, like Alabama or Mississippi, usually most of the overt racism is pretty heavily concentrated in low-income white enclaves. And the World Cup games are not hosted in such places.

      On the other hand, a German and a black American will have very different experiences in the aforementioned states.
