It is frustrating to me that the excuses now include;

We made a software patch so if the light is disabled the camera doesn’t record

A paint marker won’t damage the led, yet will hide the light if applied thickly enough. These companies should just own up already, tell the public they don’t want privacy to exist, they want to record and monetize everything, so no features of the pervert glasses will be disabled in any meaningful way.

This “software fix” is smoke and mirrors, a token attempt at placation, a weapon of mass distraction, nothing more.
