    What killed Commodore was chip fabrication. While it was great strategy at first to do it all in-house, later they were unable to out R&D the rest of the chip fab world and the rise of cheap ibm-pc clones, as well as poor business planning and debt. Commodore was rudderless after it’s founder dipped out.

    I was totally bummed out by the fall of Commodore, loved my Amigas.
