I’ve been working on a Kik-style messenger on Perchance and figured I’d throw it up here.
It’s a little fake Kik client. You make an account, add people, text them, join groups, send pics. Feels more like hanging out in an app than a single chat window.
What’s in it:
- Sign up with a display name and username (password fills itself in)
- 1:1 chats (add by username, random, or ask Support to find someone)
- Group chats: make your own, or Discover public ones and join/apply
- Public groups already have history so they don’t feel brand new
- Live photos and gallery photos (SFW, or NSFW if you ask)
- Support can actually help with the app (find people, edit profile, clear chats, etc.)
- Dark mode by default, mobile and desktop layouts
- Chats and contacts save between sessions
How it feels - People reply at different speeds. Groups stay pretty quiet (not everyone talking at once). Admins can kick you if you go too far. Selfies stay consistent with who you’re talking to.

Its kind of fun chatting to an ai, about brutalist architecture that is pretending to not be an ai.
I do hope you do some more updates on your ai psychologists dream, kik app. Its very rewarding and engaging and hilarious sometimes.
