I’ve been seen as strange ever since I realized being strange was a lot more fun than being normal :3 and then I did whatever I wanted to instead of trying to fit in

I was a young adult in the 2010s. Not diagnosed with anything yet, and a complete wierdo who subconsciously knew I really only got along with other people wierd like me (so other NDs).

I was at least two dudes “manic pixie dream girl” trope a couple times. It kinda fucking sucked, but looking back and realizing this, I can laugh, but christ.

I was 18, working at target, putting away diapers, climbing the shelves like a monkey to reach the top shelf. I Looked to my coworker who was like "what are you doing?, and I said, “what im a monkey” with a laugh. “youre not normal” they said. I said, “normal is boring”.

christ, i was such an idiot, a happy one though, least then.

Always took being called wierd/odd/whstever as a compliment. I got involved with my local punk music scene pretty early in life. That whole bit gave me confidence it was okay to be me.

Normal is, indeed, boring. I wish I could be part of punk scene, instead of being bullied or ostracized. Well, I do my best to make up for this now in my 40’s.

Yeah ive been called odd lol. Something to own rather then reject. All my friends are odd, all the people I love are a little odd (by societies standards)

    Weird, strange, clumsy.

Basically the layman’s hint to autism, unbeknownst to himself.

Better question is when am I not seen as strange? I’d guess pretty rarely, especially since I started dyeing my hair multiple unnatural colors
