Seen in the wild, in Saudi Arabia, on some movie posters the text is written backwards.

    Every other movie poster with this image has the horse and Odysseus facing the other way. I’m pretty sure this was just placed backwards and no one noticed because they don’t use that alphabet.

      It doesn’t look like a transparency to me. All the movie posters I have seen are white on the back, I would think it would be obvious if this were in backwards.

        Most movie posters you’d backlight like this are actually two-sided, where the back is a really dark, deep version of the poster (backwards), and the front is what you’d expect. It gives a richer color when backlit. Most posters you’ve seen were designed for retail/walls where a white background gives a brighter picture.

          I believe you but at the same time most of the ones I have seen are from when I worked at a movie theater briefly and we used the same ones in both places…
