Cuba has sun all year around. Imagine all houses with solar pannels. They may chose not having light during night just because they prefer a clear sky full of stars like NK instead a poluted one. Things that only countries with high security levels can do.
Anyway, wake me up when we have BYDs taxis in Havana instead of modern high fuel consumption cars (we can add an exception to all 50s, 60s cars, maybe. They are generally very well conservated and are indeed very beutiful. Not only american models, but Lada’s too.)
