Technically… if there is someone with dual citizenship, you have not asked them to speak up. ;-)
Best of luck - I upvoted for visibility in the hopes that someone sees it for you. I have severe ADHD, so I feel folks with autism are like my neurospicy siblings <3 (And my wife is AuDHD)
Dual citizenship doesn’t happen in this region 🙃 neither naturalization.
And I am not looking only for Omanis or Emiratis (UAE citizens)… basically, anyone who grew up in middle east.
Also my brother have sever ADHD, I never met anyone else with sever ADHD.
I would really love to talk with you to see how you like. I like to collect such data, I started when I was a child because I thought I could “fix” myself
I’d be glad to talk to you! :) I like talking to people from all over - you know, we grow up where we grow up and so that is normal to us, and so talking to different people and finding out what they grew up with and what’s nromal for them that’s exotic/wild for me is always fun :)
I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD twice now - the first time at age 30, then in my 40s when I was trying to get medications again I had to get rediagnosed. Both of them said I was the most severe case they’d seen in their careers. lol.
And I don’t know about fixing yourself, but we can at least find coping techniques that can help. CAN help is important phrasing, of course. hehe
So I know that over here, for the past 20+ years, people became aware of ADHD - the general populace, I mean. And there’s a belief that it became overdiagnosed, with doctors prescibing meds to lots of children. But I know that even if it was overdiagnosed, it was also underdiagnosed - case in point, I wasn’t diagnosed until age 30. heh.
Exactamo! It is fascinating to me to talk to new people and hear about their life from where ever they are from because it is exotic
I was diagnosed with autism when I was I kid, I don’t remember which age but before 15 and after 10 for sure.
I had issues, I would fight “for no reason”
I would go sit in dark room.
And would not wanna go out or play etc.
With age I found tricks and techniques to cope and OH BOY the technology made my life so easy.
I don’t know how things are these days, it seems there is no shame in being mentally challenged, but back then it was taboo and shameful
Until today, typing the word “autism” piss me off, or I just feel something bad.
My brother case is really fascinating but I can’t share it here, you can message me and maybe we could do a one time voice call. And share our history.
And don’t worry dude, I am somewhat of a cuckoo whisperer, I know how procrastinaters are. I will wait until you are in that right mood.
Or we could privately text, but I love those one time calls with a strangers.
