“All previously published polling releases have been withdrawn and should not be cited or treated as genuine polling data,” the company wrote on its website, adding that their work was part of a “short-term social experiment examining how purported polling information could enter and spread through the political information ecosystem without independent verification.”

That’s why you did it for the corrupt mayor and not a longshot that might actually prove something. Holy shit, this company should immediately be blacklisted.
I mean typically that sort of poll result would cause lower turnout for Bass, because that candidate’s voters don’t feel the pressure to vote like a narrower race would.
It also demoralizes opposition voters though, and I would argue it demoralizes fringe voters even more.
