DSA chapters are too weak on their emdorsement requirements. Cadre candidacy with a contract that withdraws their name from the ballot or office is the only way to guarantee they will stay in line.

This is a heel turn. A face turn would be if she came in toeing the DNC line and then firebombed Joe Scarborough. I think you might be mixing up the phrase with “about-face”, which is an abrupt turn in the opposite direction. Heel/face turn are pro wrestling jargon.
I only make this annoying point because I was prepared to be shocked that a “left” candidate actually demonstrated a principled stance on any topic of consequence.
