Not much to say on this chapter than hasn’t been said, but I have to ask because it keeps coming up:
Is there a historical context on why Strong keeps saying the Ukraine instead of just “Ukraine”?
I dont know why exactly but it used to be the way it was written.

Region names, in contrast to independent nations, often use an article: the Balkans, the Arctic, the Middle East, the Black Forest, the Caucasus, the Rust Belt. Before 1991, Ukraine used to be the Ukraine region.
